The Snohomish 3rd Annual Wedding tour was a wonderful event last Sunday.   I was at the historic and delightful Belle Chapel in downtown Snohomish.  Thank you Sharon for hosting the event!

The brides, grooms and families that passed through the venue were charming.  There were  2 couples that have picked the date of February 18, which is dear to my heart as it is my anniversary with my husband of 15 years…(plus it the date we met).  I enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you and hearing about the plans for your day and the colors and flowers that you wish to have.

The other vendors there included the Cabbage Patch with their wonderful food, Alishia Joubert, Harpist provided soothing harp music, Simply Sweet Cupcakes with their tasty little cupcakes, Snohomsh Beer and Wine, Carissa ~ Wishlist Weddings planning services, Rev. Margaret Mae ~Spirit Light Wholistic Ministries, DebbieKetchum ~ Younger Images and last but not least Valley Portrait Photography.

I want to thank Edmund  from Valley Portrait Photography for taking pictures of my Table and flowers as you will see why when I post my pictures to this blog.  Stay tune, as soon as he send me his, I will update.  I can design beautiful flowers, but when it comes to photography.. I can do basic with a basic camera.

Customs arrangements – Our Specialty

Received a call last week to inquire if we could design an arrangement for a baby if they brought in the little rubber boots…   I was delighted.   When they were dropped off, I was amazed at how adorable they were…. Grandpa was a firefighter and these are duplicates of boots that he had worn.  Since it was for a little boy name “Eli” I used yellows and oranges to match the yellow on the boots!   The customer was delighted as I hope so were mom and dad when they received the thoughtful gift from Grandpa (and Grandma) for his new grandbaby. 

Another custom arrangement was for a very special birthday for a customer’s Wife who has very descriminating taste.   It was made with orchids, calla lilies, sweetness roses and peonies.  She was thrilled!

Last Wedding of 2010

I had the privilege of providing flowers for the Alicia Noll and Randy Lampers wedding on Saturday December 11.   The color she had chosen for the day were hot pink and gray/silver with white.

When I met with Alicia and her mom, she showed me a picture of a bouquet of hibiscus with pink oriental lilies and calla lilies.   Since we are unable to get hibiscus in Washington, I replaced them with gladiola florets.  It is my humble opinion that they were a great substitute and have the same delicate ruffling as the hibiscus.  For a little pop of interest, we added green dendrobium orchids.  What did the bride think….  she LOVE it!

I used pink and white alstroemeria, hot pink carnations and hot pink roses with a  dusty miller collar for the bridesmaids bouquets.  They were wearing hot pink dress with a grey sash.  They went beautifully with the dresses and were loved by all.

The groom wore a boutonniere made with a white calla lily accented with green dendrobium orchids and silver wire, while the groomsmen wore a simple calla with lily grass accented by silver wire.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of them.

I also made an Alter arrangment.   It was a great addition to the unity candles for added color for the ceremony.
